A good Spanish Modernist Abstract Impressionist painting by Juan Guillermo Rodriguez Baez (1916-1968), still life oil on canvas, circa 1950.
The painting depicts a table with a brightly colored cloth, with a bottle of wine and filled wine glass, surrounded by fruit and a blue tall handled jug. The painting is very well executed & painted with impasto technique. The artist was born in Las Palmas Spain & died in Madrid, 1968, a talented modernist with an eye for color and composition. The painting is signed lower right and also to the to the rear of the canvas & is titled "Vino Con Frutos". The painting is housed in the original frame with sgraffito decoration. Condition is very good, no damage or restoration, this beautiful painting is ready to grace your wall.
