A good English carved oak Arts & Crafts blanket chest, window seat, circa 1900. The stained oak chest having a hinged lift up lid, the lid is carved with a stylized geometric foliate design, the front of the chest having corresponding carved designs, each side of the chest is decorated with an incised repeating diamond design. The chest is raised on stile feet, to the interior is a generous amount of storage, the chest is robust and stable and could easily be used a seat or bench.
